Broken Bonds, United Souls
A poem
Under the blows of silence and childhood shadows,
Two brothers bound by the pain of violence,
A tyrannical father, a monster in power,
Shattered their hearts, erased their innocence.
The elder brother, a fragile shield, tried to protect,
But himself a victim, could only endure,
The sorrowful gaze of a powerless mother,
Who had not been able to offer constant tenderness.
In the night of screams, they shared their pains,
Their fraternal love, the only rampart against the hatred,
But the scars rooted deep, invisible and profound,
Making each day darker, each night more vile.
The younger, despite everything, sought to build,
A loving family, a refuge to cherish,
But the demons of the past haunted his dreams,
His hopes crumbled like a fragile shore.
Debts piled up, days grew somber,
The weight of despair pushed him into the shadow,
Alcohol as an escape, a false deliverance,
A slow poison, a tragic dance.
