Episode 17: The Calm Before the Storm

Dawn broke over Riverton, casting a golden light on the town that had narrowly escaped destruction. The air was filled with a sense of cautious relief. Victor Caldwell had been repelled, but everyone knew he would return, stronger and more determined than before.

Emma, William, and Professor Whitman gathered in the town square with the oversight committee and key leaders. The recent victory had bolstered their spirits, but the weight of their responsibility was palpable.

“We have a brief window of opportunity,” Professor Whitman began, addressing the group. “Caldwell will need time to regroup. We must use this time to strengthen our defenses and find the remaining artifacts.”
