Episode 6: The Hidden Chamber

Emma and William emerged from the abandoned church, the glowing orb safely tucked away in William’s satchel. The evening sky was painted with hues of orange and pink as the sun began to set. They knew their journey was far from over; the next location awaited them.

“According to the map, the next place we need to go is the old library,” William said, studying the parchment carefully. “It’s where we need to place this orb.”

Emma nodded, her determination unwavering. “Let’s not waste any time. The sooner we unlock the secrets of Riverton, the better.”

They made their way through the winding streets of Riverton, the city growing quieter as the day turned to night. The old library was a grand, imposing building with tall, arched windows and intricate stonework. It had been closed to the public for years, its doors locked and its halls silent.

William produced a key from his pocket. “My father gave me this a long time ago,” he explained. “He said it would open any door in Riverton that I needed to enter.”

Emma watched as he inserted the key into the lock and turned it. The heavy wooden door creaked open, revealing the dark, musty interior of the library. They stepped inside, the air thick with the scent of aged books and dust.
