Episode 3: Whispering Park

The following evening, Emma found herself standing at the entrance of Whispering Park. The sun had just set, casting long shadows across the park’s winding paths. The air was filled with the sounds of rustling leaves and distant whispers, adding to the park’s eerie ambiance.

William arrived shortly after, carrying a small satchel. “Are you ready?” he asked, his eyes scanning the park for any signs of danger.

Emma nodded, clutching the medallion around her neck for reassurance. Together, they entered the park, following the path outlined on William’s father’s map. As they walked deeper into the park, the whispers grew louder, almost as if the trees themselves were speaking.

“Whispering Park is named for the strange sounds you hear,” William explained. “Some say it’s the wind, others believe it’s the spirits of the ancient city buried beneath Riverton.”

They reached a clearing where an old, twisted oak tree stood. According to the map, this was the first marked location. William pulled out a flashlight and began examining the tree’s base. “Look for anything unusual,” he instructed.
